I'm talking about their new Strada Adventure.
So, the 2014 model will sport it's previous extended-cab design with a peculiar twist...
It apparently can into both, RX-8 and Veloster now. Because this is a 3-door cabin with two normal doors up front and a single "suicide" door on the right rear side.
I've been a passenger in a normal extended cab Strada a couple of times and getting to and off the back seat isn't the best of experiences, so this is a great idea IMO.

I think it's the right size for those who don't work with a ton of equipment and don't want to have to get a ranger or something bigger. Plus they are pretty economic and can do some offroading, nothing too crazy, but you can get it with a locking diff ('tis FWD, by the way).

it would be perfect to throw a couple of mountain bikes in the back and head for the trails.
I don't need a big truck so I would rather have a more fuel efficient vehicle like this

I'm trying to convince a friend that getting one of these is better than getting VW's offer, the Saveiro, which is the same type of truck, sans cool rear door.
Maybe I'm doing it so I can open and close that small door and then open it again and then close it and open and close and open and close and open and close and open and close and open... and close... just maybe.

I am patiently waiting for Fiat to attempt to bring these. They won't sell for shit, but I will damn well have one.

I think that with a slight redesign Americans would buy it, It wouldn't be a success or anything like that, but it could sell well-enough.

I think it would be like the Subaru Baja was...didn't sell that well, but developed a devoted cult following. Even today nearly a decade later, the Baja has kept a lot of its value purely because the folks that have one do not want to part with it, so the prices are sky high compared to an Outback wagon of similar vintage.

That'd work, then I could rip off the badges and get some Fiat ones. :)

I see that as a good thing. It means more style, flair, fun and a passion for life.

I dunno, with the right engine and price point I think it could sell well as fun lifestyle vehicle with some utility, especially since more unusual characterful cars have entered the market in the last few years.
